Texas Christian Schools
are independent, nondenominational Christian
schools, which seek to serve the entire
Christian community in this area. The student
body represents more than ten denominations,
many independent churches, and over ninety
individual churches.
TCS is fully
accredited by ACTABS, recognized by Texas
Education Association (TEA) through Texas
Private School Accreditation Committee (TEPSAC).
TCS is a member of
the
Association of Christian Schools International,
the Association of Christian Schools of Texas,
and Texas Association of Private and Parochial
Schools (TAPPS).

Texas Christian Schools educate students from
3-year-old kindergarten through 12th
grade.
·
We
basically use the A Beka curriculum with
supplemental materials in all grades; ACSI
Spelling; Saxon Math; in the upper grades Bob
Jones Science is used, and Bob Jones Literature
in 9th - 12th.
·
K-3
classes are limited to 10-12 per class. Hours are
8:00 AM to 11:30 AM. K-4 classes are limited to
14-16 per class, K-5 classes are limited to 16-18 per
class. Hours are 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM and 12:00
PM to 3:30 PM.
·
1st
- 12th grades will not exceed
approximately 22 per class, with a Teacher’s
Assistant used as necessary for a smooth
operating class.
· The
students have Bible class every day with their
teacher and Chapel once a week with the
Administrator teaching character development to
the students. We also have special Chapels
periodically with special speakers and Christian
singing groups.
· We
offer a PE program, music, art and computers
with possible other programs being put into
effect each year. We have various electives to
choose from in our upper grades each semester
such as Art, Athletics, Cooking, Office
Assistant, Drama, Wood Shop, Debate, Scrapbooks,
Yearbook and Journalism. Other choices
will be added each year whenever possible.
· A
catered lunch program is offered Monday through
Thursday with the cooperation of local
restaurants such as Chick-Fil-A, Pizza, Taco
Bell, and Wendy's. Friday
lunch is offered by school organizations such
as Seniors, Juniors, Cheerleaders, etc, as fund
raisers.
· Each
class usually participates in 4 scheduled field
trips throughout the year as well as 4 class
parties.
· TCS
offers an after school care program (Prime Time)
to our parents for an additional charge. The
hours are from 11:30 AM - 6:30 PM.
· We
have many extra curricular activities for
Jr./Sr. High students such as tackle football,
volleyball, basketball, track and field,
baseball, softball, cheerleading, drill team, attending
local Christian concerts, and much more.
· There is a fee per sport which is generally $75
for Jr. High students and $85 for Sr. High
students, and is payable before the first game
and before a uniform is issued.
· An
annual Yearbook of great memories is produced.
· We
have a Parent Service Association (PSA) whose
purpose is to: 1. Promote the welfare of the
students. 2. Actively involve parents in the
service and promotion of TCS. 3. Bring into
closer relation the home and school through
parental involvement. 4. Assist in the growth
and development of Texas Christian Schools.
· All
tuition payments are due on the 1st
of each month and made payable to Texas
Christian School. Tuition payments not received
by the 5th of the month will be
assessed a $25.00 late fee which is to be
included in your tuition check. There is a
$25.00 return check fee on all returned
checks.
· Texas Christian Schools do not refund any fees;
all books and materials remain the
property of TCS. TCS is not responsible or
liable for any personal property that is lost,
damaged, broken or taken on the premises.
· Students participate in scholastic competitions
through ACSI and TAPPS.
· Self-contained classrooms best describe the
arrangement for all grades.
· Students will be non-ability grouped for
homeroom.
· TCS
is governed by the Executive Board of Texas
Christian Educational Foundation, Inc. and also
has a Parent Advisory Board from Texas Christian
Schools.
